It's in the blood
Reagan will be FIVE months on Wednesday! It is crazy how the time flies. I am by no means the Mom that is anxious to start solids, in fact, I am quite the opposite. I love the convenience of breastfeeding (sometimes bottle), and don't want to add another step! Call me lazy, but really I'm not all that excited. So last week, when we were out a little too long (at Cafe Rio) with little Reagan, she started letting us know it was past her dinner time too. So what other option did I have? I wasn't going to whip out the boob in the middle of the crowded restaurant. So out of pure necessity, Reagan tried her first "solid," guacamole. And LOVED it! Since both her parents love it, and it's in my heritage, it only makes sense that that should be her first solid food, right? Hope she didn't get too attached, because I won't be making a habit of it! But look at this adorable face!

Baby Blessing
Before it gets even further in the past, I wanted to write about Reagan's Baby Blessing. We did it on Father's Day, which was just perfect since Rob got to celebrate his first Father's Day by giving his first baby girl her blessing. He did such a wonderful job, and Reagan made it through the whole thing without crying or spitting on her dress! She wore the dress I had for my own baby blessing, and it fit her just right. She was just a doll that day. Unfortunately her skinny little feet still won't hold any shoes on for more than about 1/2 a second, so we skipped the fancy shoes. But here are some pics of the event:

Shocking
On my second day back to work (this morning), I ran into one of the residents who helped deliver my baby in the elevator. (That's where I ran into her, not where I delivered...) I asked her if ____ was her name, and she said yes, and I proceeded to tell her she delivered my baby, and how she might remember me. Her response was, "Oh! wow, you look great!" Or in other words, "You mean to tell me that sweaty, crying, dramatic, practically naked, mascara mess was YOU?!?"
Well of course I look great compared to that!!
And a blog post wouldn't be complete these days without some super cute pictures of the babe.
Poor girl had to get 3 shots at her 2 month appointment, but after a little breakdown she did surprisingly well!
This is super sleepy Reagan after she had slouched down in her swing for a nap, and looked up still unsure if she wanted to wake up.
The smiliest baby in the world! I LOVE it!!!

Road Trip!
At first, I thought it sounded crazy taking this little girl on a road trip that consisted of long driving hours 4 out of 5 days. But she did AWESOME! She fed really well, slept in the car the whole time, and was generally her sweet happy self. She loved getting to meet some of the family for the first time! We drove to Fruitland, Idaho Friday afternoon. Slept there, then made the trek to Troutdale, Oregon Saturday morning. Right in the knick of time (no kidding) for Ty's baptism. Then we enjoyed dinner, games, and church the next day with the Knight family. Then back to Fruitland Sunday afternoon, where we picked up our car and headed over to our great friends, Zan and Craig's, home in Nampa, ID. We spent a lovely evening, and the entire day Monday with them. Oh how we miss them!! Late nights of games and yummy treats, and Zan's awesome cooking, were greatly enjoyed. Then we headed back Tuesday morning, and got home in time for a good nap and the first game of the NBA finals. :)

Close-up of Reagan just cause she's too cute.
This is me wishing I had remembered to take fun pictures in the hotel to memorialize Reagan's first trip. Instead this is on our way out the door, all ready to go in her car seat.
How cute are these kids?!?! Ty (8), Charlie (5), and Emma (7mos).
Ashley and Jeff spending time with their new niece.
Reagan already loves her Aunt Ashley!
Another example of me forgetting to take pictures until our way out the door. At least we got ONE of us with Ashley!
Looking down from the bridge over the lower falls.
Rob, myself, Richard and Matt, who teased us all about wanting jackets until we actually got up there and he was freezing his butt off!
Gorgeousness.
Lovely picture of the in-laws
Zan and Craig, in front of Zan's favorite made-at-the-table guacamole.
Not sure why Robin thought we needed a picture with his eyes closed. But he's still cute.
Final example of me forgetting to get pictures WITH our besties before we hopped in the car. Zan and I in all our morning glory. Gotta love the bathrobe. Sure miss this lovely lady!!
Rob's Graduation
SOOO proud of this guy. He has worked his tush off in school, and has had great success. After lots of long hours, late nights, all-nighters, and weekends at school, Rob has graduated from one of the toughest majors at the University of Utah. Anyone who knows someone in the architecture program is always sympathizing with me about how I "must never see him," which is about right. I am loving the few weeks we've already had where he just has to be gone at work all day, and we get our evenings with our cute husband and daddy! Here are some pics from the event.
